Thu, 13 Sep 2012 16:14:55 -0800WeeblyTue, 06 Mar 2012 08:17:43 -0800http://www.godogpdx.com/1/post/2012/03/first-post.htmlWell... so much to say about the first 60 days!!  We have had such a great time learning about this food cart biz.  From our opening week, we experienced laughter, stress, new friends, marketing ideas, and recipies that have evolved based on public feed back.  We started and immediately had to replace some major appliances in the cart, and build a nice shelter for our lovely NW weather.  With great feedback from the local North Portland customers, we added some great new specials to the menu that were received with love and admiration.  Next time you are in the neighborhood, come check out the 'mama dog' special.  Bun broiled with heated cream cheese, carmelized onions, kraut and spicy mustard.  YUMMMMMMM

  Think we have a good handle on inventory now, and only have ran out twice on beautiful sunny days where way more people then we thought would come out and enjoy great food.  We've also developed a great new theme called "last Saturday", where we promote great local musical talent along with local artist/craft vendors from 1-5PM on a lovely Saturday afternoon.  The next one will be on 5/26/2012, and feature the fantastic local Chris Baron for music, and several jewelry, stained glass, painters, magicians, etc... for your family to enjoy.  The event is free, and weather permitting, a great place to hang out, listen to tunes, support local artists and eat GREAT food!!
